It’s official – we’ve got our first glimpse at the upcoming ‘Bond’ film, ‘SPECTRE’ thanks to a rather awesome still and behind-the-scenes-video.
And it looks as though we get a rather cool tease of a ‘major action sequence’.
Daniel Craig’s Bond can be seen briefly in this clip, dishing out a rather brutal take-down of those SPECTRE goons. And while it’s brief, it certainly shows us what he’s capable of.
These chilling scenes are said to be the ‘jewel in the crown’ of the upcoming Bond film, and feature a small glimpse at a cable car, a rather swish mountain-top facility and obviously, an impressive-looking car chase.
“We have to deliver an amazing sequence and this is going to be one of the major action sequences of the movie,” said associate producer Gregg Wilson. “It’s going to be spectacular and Austria seemed to offer everything that we needed to pull it off.”
Currently shooting in Solden, Austria it looks as though ‘SPECTRE’ is heading out to the middle of nowhere… and the scenery couldn’t be more breath-taking. A small, mountain village near the Italian border in the Alps, it’s reminiscent of scenes from a classic ‘Bond’ movie. And it would be easy to see Roger Moore suiting up in that classic yellow ski suit.
“The thing that Sam [Mendes] and I talked about was how we are going to top ‘Skyfall’,” said production designer Dennis Gassner. “It’s going to be SPECTRE and so far it’s a great start. I think that we are going to continue the history of the Bond films, making things that are exciting for the audience to look at and what could be more exciting than to be on top of the world.”
Of course, the excitement is ramped up during that car scene we mentioned… especially when we spot Dave Bautista as Mr Hinx – the villainous henchman of this movie – pointing a gun at the driver from the passenger seat. And who’s that in the back? None other than Lea Seydoux.
But has she been kidnapped or is she orchestrating the chase? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
Either way, it looks as though ‘SPECTRE’ is off to an exciting start. And surely it won’t be long before we get a glimpse of the main villain. But will it be Blowfeld as so many of us are expecting?
That remains the biggest question of them all.
‘SPECTRE’ heads to cinemas on 6 November 2015.
