Ezra Miller Can’t Wait To Play The Flash

Ezra Miller The Flash

Although Ezra Miller proved to be a controversial choice to play The Flash, it looks as though he can’t wait to get stuck in…

During an interview with HitFix at the Sundance Film Festival, the 22-year-old comic book hero admitted that he’s excited to star as The Flash.

“It’s a mixed bag but I’m happy,” he said. “I’m going to say I feel really happy about it in one way because the idea of actually having a steady job in my life is actually incredibly comforting. It’s something I didn’t necessarily think I would ever have.”

But with great power comes great responsibility… and is Ezra Miller ready for that?

“There are the moments when responsibility-dodging, adolescent-me is like, ‘No, I don’t want to’,” he laughed. “That’s a very small part. At this point it’s a diminishing voice. Every time I think about that reality, it makes me extremely happy.”

“I’m really stoked and I would do it for forty years,” he added. “That contract could have said anything.”

Of course, Miller was a rather unconventional choice when it was announced he’d be playing The Flash. After all, he’s a rather youthful-looking actor and doesn’t quite fit with the usual look of the character.

Assumed to be Barry Allen from the comic books, he’s currently being portrayed by Grant Gustin in The CW’s ‘The Flash’ TV series… and while that actor also didn’t quite fir the Scarlet Speedster’s profile, he’s certainly grown into the role.

But what about Ezra Miller?

He’s already proved to be a controversial choice… and with the current Batman said to be an older, grizzled veteran, it’s difficult to see how they’d have anything in common. Aside from their love of crime-fighting, that is.

Ezra Miller’s first appearance as The Flash will be in the upcoming ‘Justice League’ movie. But will he be any good? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.

‘Justice League Part One’ heads to cinemas on 17 November 2017.
