Daniel Craig Injured On James Bond Set

Daniel Craig as Bond

‘James Bond’ star Daniel Craig has been injured on the set of ‘SPECTRE’… and it might even delay filming.

According to CeleBuzz, the 46-year-old ‘Bond’ actor sustained a knee injury while on the set of ‘SPECTRE’. And it was apparently during a fight scene.

“Daniel Craig has been injured while filming the new James Bond movie Spectre,” they claim. “The 46-year-old actor sprained his knee while shooting a fight scene for the Skyfall sequel which is due to hit cinemas in November. Thankfully, he did not injure his face.”

According to their source, Craig’s injury has sparked panic amongst studio bosses, that the film could be significantly delayed. And with the film already on a tight shooting schedule following the theft of several vehicles, it could be enough to cause real problems.

“Bond bosses would have been panicking,” they reportedly said. “Filming deadlines are so tight, any sort of delay can bring mayhem to the schedules.”

Although apparently, the film extras were told t go home for the day… and it might not be too long before he’s back on his feet.

“The extras were simply told, ‘You can go home – Daniel’s injured his knee’,” claims The Sun. But how long will he be out? It looks as though the studio has already released a rather more official statement.

“Daniel Craig sustained a knee sprain this week while shooting a fight sequence on the set of Spectre,” they said. “He will be filming on Saturday as planned.”

Of course, this isn’t the first injury to affect a high-profile film shoot lately.

Although ‘Star Wars VII’ has now finished shooting, the production was presumably delayed after actor Harrison Ford injured his ankle on set.

Thankfully, it sounds as though Daniel Craig’s injury is far less severe, and with filming said to go ahead as planned it might not be as bad as it sounds. But for now, we’ll have to wait and see.

‘SPECTRE’ heads to cinemas on 23 October 2015.
