Star Wars VII Clapper

After plenty of rumours, it looks as though the first ‘Star Wars VII’ trailer will debut in select cinemas across the USA this weekend – appearing from Friday 28 November 2014.

Appearing alongside films shown at select Regal Cinemas across North America this Friday, the highly-anticipated sequel will finally be unveiled to lucky USA moviegoers… but for the rest of us, we’re still unsure when the trailer will appear in local cinemas.

The US cinema chain confirmed that it would debut this first look at ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ via Twitter this morning… and it looks as though the trailer will be shown in nine different theatres across the States.

And for our readers who happen to live in North America, here’s the full breakdown of where you can catch the trailer:

State City Theatre Name
CA Irvine Edwards Irvine Spectrum 22 & IMAX
CA San Diego Edwards Mira Mesa Stadium 18 IMAX & RPX
GA Atlanta Regal Atlantic Station Stadium 18 IMAX & RPX
IL Chicago Regal City North Stadium 14 IMAX & RPX

PA Warrington Regal Warrington Crossing Stadium 22 & IMAX
TN Knoxville Regal Pinnacle Stadium 18 IMAX & RPX
TX Houston Edwards Houston Marq’E Stadium 23 IMAX & RPX

Of course, films fans visiting any of the above locations on the 28, 29 or 30 November will be treated to this first glimpse at the galaxy far, far away. And which film will it be shown alongside? All of them. That’s right – rumours that the trailer would appear before every film in the cinema have been confirmed.

It certainly looks as though Disney is pulling out all the stops. But when will the trailer debut here in the UK?

At the moment, we still have no idea… and while I’ve reached out to numerous Disney contacts, we’ll have more on that when we find out! Either way, it looks as though select audience members will get their first glimpse at ‘Star Wars VII’ this weekend. But I can’t help thinking that Disney could have planned something that’s a little more inclusive…

What do you think of Disney’s ‘Star Wars VII’ trailer strategy? When will we finally get to see it in the UK? Let us know what you think in the comments below…
