Aaron Paul Debunks Star Wars Rumours

Aaron Paul Breaking Bad

After reports that Aaron Paul would star in the upcoming ‘Star Wars’ spin-off, it looks as though the man himself is attempting to debunk the rumours…

Heading to Twitter, the 35-year-old ‘Breaking Bad’ star revealed that he has no idea where the rumours came from… and clearly thinks they’re way off base.

“Who’s starting these rumors?” he said. “This one is actually making me believe I have a job in 2015. Very exciting. #StarWars.”

He also linked to the Daily Mail article which ties him to the lead in the upcoming spin-off… and with an image that seemingly puts him in the lead role as a young Han Solo, you can’t help wondering how this all started in the first place.

The initial rumours certainly linked Aaron Paul to the upcoming spin-off movie… but at no point was he assumed to be playing Han Solo. In fact, the initial report stressed that his role was unknown at this time.

Of course, Aaron Paul isn’t merely debunking the Han Solo rumour, and seems to suggest that he currently has no ties whatsoever to the galaxy far, far away. But could this simply be an actor playing coy about an upcoming part?

It’s a possibility… or perhaps Disney and Lucasfilm are yet to approach him about the role.

But of course, there’s also another possibility – that the initial rumour is completely wrong. We’ve seen any number of crazy rumours about ‘Star Wars VII’ and it looks as though the upcoming spin-offs will be subject to the same speculation.

But is there a shred of truth?

For now, we’ll have to wait and see… but while I think he’d make a great addition to the galaxy far, far away, it looks as though we won’t find out for some time.
