“There are fourteen stories written,” he told MTV News. “Some work to be done.”

Appearing in a pre-recorded segment ahead of thirty-minutes of new, unfinished footage, Michael Bay announced that the new stories had been thrashed out during the development process for The Last Knight in order to lay the groundwork for the future of the series.

And one of those stories will be a Bumblebee solo movie.

He also confirmed that The Last Knight will be his last time as Transformers director, but promises the fans that he’ll be going out on a high.

Expect lots of explosions, then.

The Transformers: The Last Knight preview showcased a number of new clips, including footage from the mysterious Arthurian prologue. And word is that Stanley Tucci may even be playing Merlin in this portion of the film. There were also scenes including Isabela Moner’s Izabella alongside Canopy, as well as Mark Wahlberg’s Cade Yeager being taken off to the UK by Anthony Hopkins’ own personal transformer.

Transformers: The Last Knight stars Mark Wahlberg, Isabella Moner, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Duhamel, Gemma Chan, John Goodman, Frank Welker and Peter Cullen.

Michael Bay directed the film based on a script by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Ken Nolan.
